Britannic Technologies is one of the largest and most technically able independent communications companies in the UK, providing both national and international solutions. They specialise in IP Communications, Networking Systems and Computer Telephony Integration. Since they were founded in 1984, they have grown rapidly and needed a complete strip out and refit of their headquarters building near Guildford. We were delighted to be appointed as the main contractor for this large and prestigious project. During the refit, Britannic Technologies moved to nearby premises to enable a speedy conclusion to the works.
The works comprised a complete strip-out of the building, including a mezzanine floor, and we installed a new mezzanine floor covering the entire internal space. This floor included a wonderful staircase with glass balustrades and extremely effective feature lighting. On the upper floor were admin offices, directors’ offices, meeting rooms and a very attractive breakout area. The lower floor included reception, sales offices, accounts offices, a further breakout area and a stores area. On both floors, extensive use was made of frameless glass partitioning, thus providing light and airy offices.
The glass partitioning was generally used for the fronts of the offices, and the stud partitioning was used for the dividing walls. The project also included wall cladding, suspended ceilings and a variety of floor coverings. A superb feature of the building was the new glass and aluminium frontage, also installed by ourselves.
The project was completed on time and on budget.
